Instant compliance lookups on the shop floor: scan or search an item and get a clear approved or flagged status, sourced directly from the client's own approved-product records, with a paper trail on every flag.

The problem

A retail compliance team needed staff — not auditors — to be able to check whether a product was approved for sale, instantly, without leaving the floor. Checks ran on paper and by memory across many sites: slow, error-prone, and not something you can hand to whoever happens to be on shift.

What we built

A lookup tool grounded entirely in the client's own approved-product records. Scan or search an item and the system returns a clear approved or flagged status sourced directly from that data. Anything flagged routes straight to a manager with the reason attached, so the exception has somewhere to go instead of stalling the check.

Where it stands

Live and running. Because every answer is tied back to the client's own records rather than general knowledge, results are auditable — a manager can trace any flag back to exactly why it was raised.
